Happy Fall!

Untitled

YAY! It is finally the real official start to fall! (You know compared to the fake one - ha but in all honesty usually once September comes I think fall!) It feels like it has been so long since I have actually had a chance to enjoy and celebrate fall!  I absolutely loved our time in Texas but I didn't get the cooler weather or the beautiful foliage...and seeing as our yard had a whopping one tree - we hardly had any leaves! But, here...it is FALL!!!!

These are the books we picked up at the library this week to celebrate fall.  They are all pretty cool books.  I really liked all of them.  Each kid seems to have a different favorite book...and since I liked them all tomorrow as we celebrate the season of Autumn we will be reading all of them!! And, if I'm lucky I'm going to stop at Starbucks for a pumpkin spice drink!!! Ahh, I love pumpkin!

I also made these DELICIOUS pumpkin squares this week.  I didn't take any photos. I promise that I will take photos the next time...and I'll share the recipe, too.  I need to buy some more pumpkin and start really celebrating the season!  The weekend plan is to get some mums and pumpkins for the front of the house, too!

What are you going to do to celebrate FALL?!

Yay! Fall! We definitely have FAKE Fall here - the temperature maybe drops three degrees if we're lucky - haha. I am so impressed that you get to go to the library. 1) our library is closed for renovations for like 2 years - so we'd have to go out of town, and 2) Violet DESTROYS every single book in sight. it's crazy. so i don't want to chance it with library books...someday!

Erika - Yeah our library in Texas was horrible this one is really good. I don't like taking the kids in to pick them out so I pick the books out I want online and they have them waiting for me. I usually let the kids each pick one or two additional books each and a movie. Then, we head out. At home I keep the library books in the school room. The kids are welcome to look at them whenever they want. But, we try to keep them away from Baby A because she also is a curious little one who just possibly could destroy a book :)

I always love seeing different books chosen for Fall. We just gathered a bunch at the library, but I've noted these for a future trip. Happy Autumn!
