Little Passports is a monthly subscription service for your kids. Sam and Sofia, characters from Little Passports, travel all over and teach the kids about geography through fun travel packages that arrive on your doorstep each month. Little Passports offers two different editions - World and United States.
Each month your package will contain a letter from Sam and Sophia, a boarding pass to access online games and activities, fun souvenirs, stickers and photos! The first month you get a little suitcase to keep all your travel information and a wall map to track your adventures. You can attach your boarding passes and place your stickers on the suitcase to show just how much of the world you have traveled!
There are different subscriptions to choose from for the World Edition. You can choose from 3, 6 or 12 month plans -- or, you may opt to just pay monthly. The 3-month and 6-month Explorer Kits cost $13.95/mo. On these plans your child visits 2 or 5 different countries. The best deal to be had would be the 12 month plan where each box is only $10.95 - you get to "visit" 11 countries on this plan! Or, you could choose my favorite option which is the monthly subscription. It costs $11.95 each month and visits 23 different countries. It gets charged each month (instead of lump sum) and you can cancel at any time with no issue!
The 23 countries you will visit:
- South Africa
The World Edition is recommended for kids ages 5-10.
Another Little Passports exploring option is the US Edition. It has the same characters, Sam and Sofia, who travel the United States instead of the World. They travel to two different states each month sending fun goodies to your kids! Some of the "fun" goodies you can look forward to receiving are travel journals, postcards, stickers and access to the online US Edition! It's slightly different than that of the World Edition and is geared to children 7-12. I cannot give a complete review of the US Edition since I have not used it with my children.
My kids absolutely think the World Edition its one of the coolest things since sliced bread. They love receiving mail each month and I love the educational aspect of it. I love that my kids learn about the different countries. They can find the country on the map, play the fun online games/puzzles and play with the souvenirs and stickers. The kids are little sponges and are quick to tell everyone about the countries they have "visited" and show off their luggage!
