More Kiwi Crate Fun!

We continue to enjoy our Kiwi Crate!!  I just had to share what we have done so far...

First, we made the birds nest and eggs.  You can see that here.

Then, the kids made bird masks and wings.  This was a project that was included in our Kiwi Crate. We also did a little workbook that came with it.  It was really informative about different kinds of birds - eagles, kiwis, hummingbirds, etc.  We also did some printables that we found on the Kiwi Crate website specifically linked to this project box!
Here are some photos of the kids working on their sheets:

The people over at Kiwi Crate really did a great set up.  They had printables, games and book suggestions for each project.  Our library is weird here and I actually have to renew my library card (not worth it for such a short time) and they have such a poor selection of books.  I opted not to check out the library and instead checked out our bookshelf.  I didn't have the books they suggested so we used the books below and the kids really got a kick out of them!

A few days later we went to Morgan's Wonderland. Gator decided that she was going to ride the eagle on the carousel because Eagle's nests are so big they can fit TWO five year olds in them.  Did you know that?! Well, thanks to Kiwi Crate - she does!  We also hit up the Quadrangle where we saw a bird that was nesting. I really love the fact the kids are interested in all this stuff and chatting up the facts about nests, eggs and all the different types of birds.

I guess the point of this blog post is that we are still busy doing activities that came from Kiwi Crate.   Summer is in full swing (it was 108 today - June 29) and while we aren't doing school through the summer we are still learning EVERY SINGLE DAY! We seriously love Kiwi Crate and are getting excited for the July box to arrive!!!  You still have time to order for the July box!  When it arrives I'll be sure to post about it!!!  Oh and if you use this link you'll save $10.00 off your first box!
