I think one of the hardest things about being a military family is the friends you make, love and leave...
This week my best friend from Texas is moving and it sucks. Yup, I said it...it sucks.
I wanted to get her a little going away gift to let her know how much I am going to miss her...so...I went with this:
And, I also got her this book: NIV Military Wives' New Testament with Psalms & Proverbs: 90 Days of Encouragement and Hope. It had a couple good reviews and just came out...I cannot tell you how it is but hopefully it is a good one!
So, from one military spouse to another...if you are looking for a good "going away" gift for a dear friend those were a couple fun and easy ideas!
I want to add it is not tradition to give gifts upon departure...sometimes though it is fun to just give a gift! And, more than a gift what a friend wants is a hug, prayer for safe travel and an occasional phone call, text, e-mail to keep the friendship alive!
Remember -- it is not good bye...it is see you later....the Air Force is small...
