It was cool outside (let's be real it was like 77-80 and I thought this was great at 9AM!) and such perfect walking weather! Gator took her little ride on, Peanut took her doll & stroller and I pushed Achoo. You are probably asking yourselves, "Where is Vegas on this beautiful long weekend?" well...pictures of that project later (he painted!).
So, we walked and walked and walked...it really wasn't a far walk but when I'm pushing a stroller (I should have just used a carrier for him) and trying to keep Peanut close behind and keep Gator from going to fast...well, it felt like a long walk. We got to the little park...
And, searched and searched for leaves. Let me tell you...there are no exciting leaves in Texas. The only colors they turn are from green to brown because they have no water...or black if they've been burned by the fires that THANKFULLY aren't that close to us. They aren't big leaves, just small...and they are hard to find! We found some though several different kinds of SMALL leaves and stuck them under Peanut's stroller for safe keeping as we walked and walked and walked...
We were having a great time...
Then I said, let's head home and get a snack and do our project....so we had to turn around and go all the way home...again, really not all that far but when you are working with little people, its far.
She had to stop and look at everything...and explain everything...it was so cute...and then she had to run to catch up with Gator!!
It was all going pretty good and we were having a great time until Peanut decided her baby needed milk in the middle of the street (why the middle of the street) so when I pulled her to the side and got things situated she decided it was best for her to carry the baby home. Fine. I'm pushing Achoo in the stroller, while carrying a doll stroller...Gator's in front and BOOM...Peanut trips on her little feet, the doll goes flying and Peanut is upset...so now I'm carrying Peanut, the doll, the doll stroller and pushing Achoo while keeping up with Gator...!!! Thankfully, no photos of that...although it would have been a good laugh for you!
Yes, I'm super-mom.
Seriously though, it was fun. We made it home in one piece. We had a yummy snack and then got side tracked to run an errand. We left the leaves in the bottom of Peanut's stroller in the garage and told Vegas they were for a project. Well...this morning we went to go get them and they aren't there...Vegas tossed them because he didn't realize they were for a project...and all Gator had to say was "Do you know how hard we had to look for that many little leaves that are not even colored?!"
Yup. I'm feeling it, too. So, now another walk will be had...this time, I think the wagon is going to be used and no doll strollers or rolling devices! Oh...and if you want to make Gator's day...send us some actual leaves in the mail - beautifully colored ones!!!
