It all can't be free...BUT...

So, awhile back I blogged about the 101 things I wanted to do in 1001 days. You can read my list here. One of the things I wanted to do was to coupon successfully for a period of time...you know what...I am doing it!!!

I have successfully couponed for 90+ days!

This week Vegas went to the store to buy my papers since I was sick in bed...love that man! I buy four papers each week. Yes, we buy FOUR. It's illegal to steal coupon inserts, to buy one paper and take 3 others...to just take the coupon inserts, etc. I've been reading about people doing this and it makes me so mad. Our papers here cost $2.00 so that's $8.00 a week for coupons....I save so much more than that!!!

This week I went to CVS & Walgreens!

My loot:

This is 4 Scott Paper Towels, 2 Charmin Toilet Papers, 4 Puffs w/ Lotion Tissues, 4 Freshmatic Ultra Spray, 5 Liquid Gain Detergent, 1 Powdered Gain Detergent, box of tampons, box of allergy meds, 2 colgate optic white tooth paste, 6 arizona ice tea and 2 packages of mnms!

I spent out of pocket $55.46 saved $112.55 and left with $23.48 Extra Care Bucks to use the next time! Yeah...55.00 is a lot to spend but not when you think about all the stuff I bought and needed (detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, etc).

We have been able to successfully stock up on most of our household stuff. We never pay full price anymore and I'm loving it. Of course it helps our grocery budget a little bit and that makes it even better!! Ohhh...and I didn't even start with any ECB or RR this week because I used them up awhile back...so that's just coupons:) Had I broken things down into more individual purchases I probably could have even spent less OOP...but I'm okay with $23.48 towards next week!!

Oh and don't tell me you don't have time to coupon too! It takes almost no time at all. You just buy your papers and check online. I follow Couponing to Disney and Money Saving Amanda to find my great deals. They've done all the work for you...go look at the store you want, they'll list the ads and the coupons and give you scenarios...its easy!!!

Enjoy!
