Oak Meadow Art Stuff

I really love Oak Meadow. I cannot even begin to tell you how wonderful it has been for us as a family...and especially for Gator. As part of the Kindergarten curriculum I purchased their craft kit. It goes with the curriculum but you don't have to purchase it through them, it was just easier to do that than to go around to a bunch of places finding the stuff.

One of the things in the kit was Stockmar Modeling Beeswax. I guess its kind of like playdoh or clay because the kids play with it and form it into things. But, its way cooler. Its not as easy to use but Gator loves it, Peanut too!

It takes lots of concentration AND the muscles in your hand get a great workout.

I have actually found its easier to break it into smaller pieces and soak it in warm water...

We've made lots of things with beeswax...but one of the main things we use it for is to make numbers for our schoolwork. We save them and bring them out and make other numbers...its pretty fun. Below are some of Gator's numbers..

Great idea with the warm water! My kids love the beeswax clay too but it's really hard for them so a lot of the times it's them giving it to me to make stuff for them to play with.
