Steam...

A few days ago my friend let me borrow her steam mop. I've been itching to try one because they are good on all sorts of floors AND don't use any chemicals just really hot steam.

I was a little skeptical at first because really how can steam clean so well, right? Actually...it was awesome. It cleaned my floors better then they have ever been cleaned. I took some pictures to show you before and after...but let me be honest you don't want to see them. The floor was HORRIBLE before and the after pictures just look like pictures of a clean floor LOL.

So, super easy. You take this mop (above is the kind I used) and you put a little pad on it (washable) then you fill the little hole with water, plug in and let it heat. Easy.

The first day I did the crappy kitchen floor and the dining room, hall and living room wood floors. You cannot imagine how I felt walking on this nice clean floor that contained no spills, sand, stickiness, dirt or grunge. Ok...now you're thinking "ew...I never want to go to their house." But really - it wasn't THAT bad but walking on this clean floor made my feet feel like they were in heaven. It lasted for about a day before the girls spilled cereal, icecream and juice on it...oh and the sand came back. But really...even after all that a quick wipe made the floor feel almost as good.

Yesterday I took the mop upstairs! I cleaned the entired wood floor. The dilemma is it has to be plugged in and the cord isn't nearly long enough for me to walk around the entire house and not unplug...so I had to keep moving it around. It worked awesome. It fit under the beds and dressers. It did a great job on the bathroom tile as well. I'm impressed.

Now, the sad part is I have to give this mop back to my friend. The good news is I have about $60.00 worth of Amazon credit so I think I'm going to get one. The question is...should I get THIS one that I used and loved or should I try a different model?

There are a few different Haan models out there. I think you can do more with some then others...but I'm not totally sure. I know I'm going to go with a Haan because they do a better job.

I'm just not sure which is the best option. Anyone have any of these? or some comments to lead me the right direction?

Have no fear Vegas this is what I decided my PUSH present is going to be and I'm even supplying you with Amazon credit :) And, like I said...its cheaper then the van I got last time...by like a lot!

I've never used one, but now I think I need one. Hmmm. But I need so many things. aye yi yi. Thanks for opening my world up to these things... I have always been a get-on-the-hands-and-knees-and-scrub kind of gal (but I'm not pregnant), and have just chosen to have dirty floors. This changes everything.
