Its been awhile...

I'm so good at disappearing into thin air...and its not that I mean to get up and leave and not come back but life happens. Let's see...where was I? Well...April 7th is the last time I blogged and since then I've been traveling and dealing with sick kids...crazy times! I went up to Boston for a couple weeks in April to see Josh run the Boston Marathon...that was the purpose of the trip...funny I never did end up seeing him run it though (it was way too cold) I did however get to visit the Emergency Room TWICE with Amelia. The second time around we got diagnosed with an ear infection - nothing major...and asthmatic tendenacies when viruses and the such hit her. Joy. We had fun with Uncle Josh and his "horse" Rochambeau - we unfortunately had to put down my Mom's dog Ginger (1995-2009) and then had a chance to see lots of other family members too...it was a good trip. Oh wait...the best part - I GOT TO SEE FENCE! :D And the kids. It was a great visit to Syracuse NY...the weather was perfect - the girls got to play and we had fun. Its so sad that we live so far away...my love hate relationship with the military -- let beautiful friendships grow and then send us far away from each other... We got back to Virginia the end of April and brought Andrew & Russ with us - good trip...I think they both really liked the area. They spent part of the time in Hampton & part of the time in Stafford. I think they liked Hampton better (hehe jk - I'm not sure which they liked better!). The beginning of May Amelia had her 6 month (we were a little late) well baby visit...well...baby ain't so babyish anymore! She's 19 pounds and 27.25 inches...quite the chunker...although smaller then Abby on both of those numbers...and diagnosed with ear infection numero dos. OY. So...then Todd & Laura (Amelia's godparents) come to town at the end of May (in the midst of Joe's crazy TDY schedule four outta five weeks gone) so we took a little trip up to Stafford to see them. It was a blast. We got to meet Baby Caroline (Feb 09) and see Charlotte (Abby loves Charlotte)...and hang with Todd & Laura...aw we miss them so much! We got home and things were going great until ANOTHER fever struck...and Nana came for a visit...and then I took Amelia to the doctor - ear infection number THREE. Ouch! A few days later Abby ended up at the doctor with a double ear infection & sinus infection...no fun! Oh...and right in between those two visits included a trip to Woodbridge...to see Krystin! Ahh! She moved...I'm sooooo thrilled that she now lives so close 125 miles to be exact - 2.5 hours. Totally a doable trip especially if we just meet in Richmond. Woohoo! Well...now here I am attempting to give a whole major rundown super quick - hope you enjoyed it...I'll try and post some pictures and keep updating this a little more regularly... ---Now that I found some pictures--- I should update this -- Amelia broke her first tooth on Memorial Day -- she's crawling now as of early May (a day or so after Mothers Day)...she pulls herself up to standing (the Friday before Memorial Day)...and the pool in our neighborhood opened Memorial Day weekend - both girls love it!! Although we've only gone a few times its mentioned daily...more later I promise:)
