Inspiration - A Wonderful Thing...

I have been completely inspired! One of my BFF's Gina decided to blog for a week with photos - of course - she's totally copying some scrapping goddess but I figure what the hell - I should do it too! When you go and look at Gina's page you'll totally realize that I fall far behind with the cleverness of the photos & blogs but remember...I'm not Martha Stewart and I don't want to be:) Although I would like to get back into scrapping I just haven't had the time - Gina reminds me its because I knit & dye silk & sew and of course chase after my wild 2 year old!! The start of the week in photos...although I'm honestly tempted to make it more then a week and bring you up to the birth of Amelia. She'll be here soon. Plus...Renae keeps reminding me how funny my blogs leading up to Abby were...so perhaps...I'll try. No promises though. Let's see...where to begin?! Well...I didn't have any big plans for today but decided I needed to get out and do something. No more sitting at home and wishing the contractions away...now they can come and can come at full force. Although not full enough force to get me into labor just to get things moving! :) This is how my day starts everyday. Well - not exactly - maybe I'll get brave and get up earlier to show you the real start of the day...but this is how it usually starts. The dogs like to sit in the playroom and look out the back door which is fine - except that the squirrels (evil creatures) like to walk around our backyard causing the barking which is never ever ending - and if you've ever talked to me on the phone you know...these dogs can bark. This is a picture of the barking in action - Biscuit from below and Barley mid - air. Yes...he barks mid-air. I felt like I should also post a picture of driving because Gina did...don't worry - I was being safe... This is Abby waving at me in the mirror at the drive - thru at Starbucks.... I must say - I'm not usually the biggest fan of Starbucks but I've been craving pumpkin...yes...craving. I went to the Starbucks down the street from me all of 0.8 miles away and they had NOTHING pumpkin so I figure...on the way to the museum I'd hit a bigger starbucks - ahh pumpkin! Abby & I waiting in the parking lot of the museum. She's munching on a cookie :) OMG OMG OMG we're at the museum her favorite place - she's wild.
She loves the log downstairs to crawl through... A little action shot...I'll try and get better with these.... The duck...the best part...she loves this part of the museum the best. We'll spend a long time just watching them... She likes the turtles too ;) And...here she is holding Victoria's hand showing her the ducks... I think she'll be a good big sister...although the funny thing is Victoria & Abby aren't all that far apart age wise. Abby's 26 months and Victoria's just about 18 months...I think they look like they have a bigger age gap.
She looks so innocent. Touching the starfish... A quick snooze on the way home leads to hell getting down for a nap later...but she looks so precious in the car....ahhh...toddler-hood. Abby was eating lunch - which you can't tell in this picture because I had cleaned up...but the plate still had some of her apples on it - anyways...I got to thinking about the kitchen...I need something on the wall there - it looks too blah. Any ideas? Cousin It...I mean...still Abby. We had tried to take a nap and failed...so she was hanging out with me while I ordered some stuff with our Gymbucks. I got the girls the cutest matching outfits - I think its going to be for a Christmas gift;) She's pulled out her pig tails and her hair is in her face...this is how she spends most of the time...I do try and pull it back but she doesn't like clips so unless its in an elastic its in her face...its almost long enough to stay back...but not quite...
It started raining....looking up at the rain coming down through the trees in our yard... I'm sure you couldn't see the rain - so can you see it better in this picture (probably not lol) After Abby did finally take a nap - we made dinner. Chicken noodle soup - her favorite! She dumped the whole package of noodles in -- although usually its just 1/2 a package...so that's why it looks like there are so many noodles...ooopsies! This is Abby's favorite shirt/dress...its from her little friend in Germany. Its a view from the top because she loves the pockets the most...inside - all her potato head pieces. She used to say potato quite well but this past weekend started calling it table...it took Joe & I forever to figure out what the heck she was talking about... I thought you'd like a view from my top as well...when going through the pictures Abby shouted Melia!
Abby & Daddy playing cut the pickle - tickle tickle!! Close up :) She loves him. When the camera is out - you gotta get the big goofy grins - especially the ones covered with hair in front of her eyes.... Time for bed...and yes...this is how Barley slept last night.... More tomorrow!!!
