The Weather

Those darn meteorologists called for snow in Hampton,VA it was supposed to start on Saturday sometime...so, Friday we were hearing 0-12 inches...what a range! Then, later Friday we heard "most likely 3 to 6 inches" everyone was making a HUGE deal about it because it was going to be the first measurable snow since 2004...and after knowing how North Carolina and Virginia are with plows or lack there of (we drove through the storm in 2004 on the way to Florida to get married and drove 10 miles and hour through 2 inches of snow on the highway for many many miles of southern virginia and norther north carolina!) I was quite happy to know that Joe was coming home from South Carolina before the snow was going to hit...and yes, he made it safely.

Saturday morning we woke up to snow - well, snow flakes but nothing sticking to the ground. We decided we'd run a few errands - the bank, pet store and Target -- if it was going to snow our little child was totally going to need some boots...we didn't find any winter boots that fit her but we found some rain boots that she absolutely fell in love with...so we got them for her. We thought she'd get to go outside in some snow either late Saturday or sometime on Sunday AM...

But, when we woke up this morning...there was no snow...nothing stuck...they say that 1'' fell in Hampton between the start of the storm and the end...but nothing stuck, not one bit. Poor Abby no snowman for her yet...

Some pictures of yesterday's snow and Abby's new boots (inside because its 30 degrees outside brrrr!)

Not enough to make a snowman:
Abby really likes her boots (go click the boot link for another picture!):
